Local Farm Markets

There are many opportunities to support local agriculture in Hampton Roads. We have small farmers producing strawberries, blue- and blackberries, wild assortments of fresh vegetables, melons and corn - right on through fall gourds and pumpkins.  If you don't have the time or inclination to grow your own veggies, consider buying them freshly grown throughout the gardening season. Local producers have eggs, honey and cheeses for sale.  We also have independent producers of pasture-raised and humanely raised and processed meats: pork, poultry, beef - even buffalo. Being coastal, we have exceptional access to freshly caught, wild fish and shellfish.  You can't beat a selection like this!

Watch this page for updates on local products and markets.   If you know of sources or outlets that haven't been listed yet, please email!  And remember, when you shop these fine folks - tell them you saw their info on UsefulGardens.com!
